Planning your unprecedented Horsey Summer

It’s almost time for a horsey summer of sun, sea and so much more. During this period of unprecedented times, there is no better time to get planning now so you don’t waste a moment.

Summer for us horse owners means the eagerly awaited opportunity to spend more time riding, competing and doing what you love has arrived. During these uncertain times of #covid19 restrictions, it's time to think outside the box to help you maximise those daylight hours in the saddle.

Luckily we are here to help with some ideas ;)

  1. Perfect show prep! With chance of all equestrian shows being canceled or postponed this year take the opportunity to rehearse your pre-show beautifying routine.

  2. Off the beaten track or Go to the beach. If you know the local area like the back of your hand, it might be time to venture further afield. Once restrictions have eased set off from your yard to rejuvenate your routine and blaze some new trails.

  3. Set a goal. It may sound boring, but this time gives you the opportunity to work towards something. So if you’re not going to perfect your dressage movements now, ready to step up to the next level over winter, when will you?

  4. Spoil your pony! There’s no better way to wash away the horsey blues than with a full body freshen-up. Spoil your horse with atop-to-tail spa day in the sunshine to get him gleaming.

  5. Book a photo shoot Create some lasting memories with your horse by having your bond captured. Whether you use your own camera and rope in some family, horsey friends, or call in a professional, there’s nothing better than a photo as a keepsake of your relationship.
